This man thinks that any woman will do, really. He must really think woman are stupid. He’s hoping to steal some Hillary supporters by choosing a woman who is completely unfit for the job just to win over the female vote. News for you McCain: She’s not exactly the kind of woman that even Hillary supporters are looking for. She’s against women’s rights. Period. Nice try, though, really. Michelle Obama and Some Guy Named “Daddy Yankee”
During the opening night of the Democratic National Convention where Ted Kennedy and Michelle Obama both knocked grand slams out of the park and brought tears to mine and my fathers’ eyes with their firm belief in a candidate who will bring America back to Americans, John McCain was paying off some hip looking young Puerto Rican to say McCain is fighting for Hispanics everywhere.Interesting.

Liberals Supposedly Hate America, Republicans Hate California
How on earth are we supposed to balance our budget in California when one side of the legislature refuses to budge on any compromise? Their way or the highway for Republicans in California. Democrats propose a budget that would cut social programs (something the Dems hate to do as well as raise taxes to close the gap (something Repugs hate to do). Sounds like a compromise to me, but not one Republican would vote for it.

John McCain’s Bus Drives Right Into Town Hall! Lol!
On Will’s ever witty, intelligent and thought-provoking blog, I learned of a website by John McCain’s daughter, Meghan called The McCain Blogette (sounds cheesy, doesn’t it? No better than “Cosmic Irony,” I’m sure).
But what really struck me was the fact that the details in her latest entry hadn’t been published on any news channels at all! After reading the first paragraph, I had to break the news myself. Apparently, the Straight Talk Express, McCain’s campaign-mobile, was driven straight into Town Hall by a man she calls Jay. Apparently, she expects this man to do it again, as she states: “For the first time, Jay drove the “Straight Talk” right into the middle of the packed hall and Dad, U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman and former Governor Tom Ridge exited the bus into the cheering crowd of more than 3,000 people to start the town hall.”
My God! They must have killed hundreds and they come off the bus like nothing happened! What’s wrong with these people!

A Sporting Event Between Hundreds of Nations Around the World Where Each Tries to Beat the Pants off the Other in Demonstrations of Human Strength and Prowess is NOT Political.
At least, that’s what Bush would like you to think when he hears about people boycotting the Olympics in China due to their less than admirable record on human rights. That’s also the excuse given for the backlash received by two Olympians making a point regarding the racial division in America in 1968.
Let’s not forget that the US later boycotted the Olympics in 1980 in Russia for the USSR’s actions.
Oh, but the Olympics aren’t political.
I remember my dad telling me about these two guys. More power to them for doing what they did and braving the consequences. They are what make America great.

Pitiful Journalism
I won’t even link back to the article because it doesn’t deserve hits, but Andrew Malcolm of the LA Times has decided that linking Obama to Bin Laden is so important that he would write an article about George Cloony and title it “Obama backer George Clooney plans a movie on Osama bin Laden’s driver.”
Now, someone please tell me what the hell Clooney’s actions have to do with being an Obama backer?
Well, the article doesn’t make it any more clear. It mentions Obama twice. And boy does it stretch to mention him:
“George Clooney, one of Hollywood’s most prominent backers of Democratic Sen. Barack Obama for president, has bought the movie rights to tell the story of Osama bin Laden’s driver.”
“Clooney, who is reportedly offering policy and speaking advice plus also helping Obama raise money from within the wealthy, liberal Hollywood community, is said to covet the role of Swift for himself.”
The Obama references have NOTHING to do with the subject of the story! The LA Times actually PAYS this moron?! How very sad.
